When she isn’t in the board room she applies her talent for photography, spending her time capturing memorable experiences and creating art through her camera lens. She believes in mentoring others to allow them reach their full potential and is inspired by her niece and the discipline and tenacity she displays in pursuit of her passion – football.
Melanie’s ability to remain calm in high pressure situations, coupled with her strong sense of self are the keys to her success. Due to her passion for the industry, in her 14 year career, she has never had a single boring day in the Investment Banking space. Her commitment to excellence has seen her regularly play a significant role in numerous monumental debt funding and advisory transactions for key corporate clients. She is currently responsible for relationships across several sectors within Corporate Financing Solutions SA including Diversified Industrials, Healthcare, Hotels and Gaming, and Consumer.
Melanie was recently involved in raising R1 billion in the South African loan market via a sustainability-linked term loan and sustainability-linked revolving credit facility for JSE-listed industrials firm Barloworld Limited (Barloworld).
